Tempered glass has repeatedly been brought to just below the melting point of the glass than rapidly cooled. By doing this, the glass is made much stronger. Tempered glass is four to five times stronger than regular glass-protecting your family and home from accidents, intruders, and even storms.

Tempered glass also won't present a hazard if broken. If your tempered glass is somehow broken, it crystallizes into small, harmless shards-not sharp, jagged pieces like regular glass. You won't have to worry about anyone being cut or hurt by dangerous pieces of broken glass.

Reach-Out Locking System:

This system pulls your patio door firmly against the weatherstripping when you close it-creating a weathertight seal and ensuring that your patio door is completely closed.

Auxiliary Foot Lock:

The Auxiliary Foot Lock is a lock at the bottom of your sliding patio door that can be a set in place with your foot. A metal beam extends down into the track of the patio door.

The metal beam, combined with the metal track of your patio door, acts as a dead bolt. Even if an intruder bypassed the Five-Point Locking System, he would be unable to open your patio door because the Auxiliary Foot Lock keeps the door firmly in place. Your family and your home would be safe.

The Auxilliary Foot Lock can also lock the door in an open position to let the breeze in.
